שלום יש לי 2 מעבדים בבית שניהם 2.4GHZ רציתי לשאול איזה כדאי יותר למערכת שלי המפרט בחתימה,

הNORTHHWOOD עובד על 1.5 V והפרסקוט על 1.3V ההעדפה היא לאוברקלוק וביצועים, חשוב לציין גם לביצועים במשחקים,

בפרסקוט יש 1M זיכרון מטמון ובנורטווד 512K מה זה נותן לי ומה בכללי עדיך לי?

For OCing... the prescott is better cause of its low Vcore... but still its pretty warm core so it gets balanced.

I think both of them will be great for OCing... but if you going for the prescott you better get new HSF to keep it as cool as possible.

About the 512 Vs. 1M its pretty minor for home user unless you work with video editing/encoding it doesnt matter at all.

Again 512K will do just fine ! you can see comparison between prescott and northwood, the 512K is better, the 1M gives advantage only with video encoding as i said.

If you have water cooling you should not be afraid to the the prescott, about the Vcore, THE LOWER THE BETTER as simply as that.

If the deffault speed if the prescott works with 1.3V relatively to the northwood at the same speeds with 1.5V thats means you can get more speed with the prescott, lets just say that of the northwood do 250Bus at 1.6V the prescott will do it with 1.5V cause it starts from lower Vcore which by the way gives great temps at default speeds.

High Vcore is neccessary for OCing but the lowest at default is the better for OCing cause you have longer way to go with the Vcore.

Just to insure : High Vcore = High speed + High temps, so if you can get lower Vcore [which means lower temps] with same speeds it will be much better !

תנסה עם הנורטווד.......אם יש לו סטפינג טוב תוכל להגיע ל4000 הנורטווד יותר יציב וכמו שאמרו לך גם פחות מתחמם שזה משמועתי ככה שמומלץ אבל להגיע איתו רק עד מתח של 1.7 לא יותר!!!

למה לא יותר? אני לא חושב שהלוח יתן לי יותר...

Another reason to get the prescott, you will get better results in OCing... espically when your mobo doesnt allow more than 1.6V.

he said that he whants to know whice will be a better overcolocker ;the prescot will get very very warm even if he have a water cooling ........the northwood will get more then the prescot even on a 1.5V in stock........if he had a diffrent MOBO he was do better with the northwood

With water cooling it wont be such noticeable... and the Vcore is better if we look at the prescott which is very neccessary cause is mobo gives pretty low Vcore.

So the lower Vcore at default speeds => The better for OCing + Temps.
