יש אפשרות לשדרגו למערכת הפעלה WIN 8?

הייתי בטוח שלא (כי חשבתי שהמעבד שיש שם לא ממש תומך ב-Windows בכלל, שהנחתי שהוא צריך x86..) אבל לפי גוגל אני רואה שכן.

והנה במיוחד לגבי הטאבלט שלך:

The Sony Tablet S uses an Nvidia Tegra processor, which is a system-on-a-chip processor that combines an Nvidia graphics chipset with an ARM-based cpu on the one chip.

This means that - as with Android - every tablet has different requirements, not unlike desktop PCs.

The major difference is that the tablet manufacturers are responsible for getting Android to work on their respective devices, and in the cases of the bigger tablet manufacturers, the consumer for the most part is shielded from device-driver pains that can be experienced by end-users with desktop PCs.

If MS was to release a retail version of RT (which after posting a query elsewhere, I realise hasn't happened yet) there may be the issue of device-drivers needing to be available on installation but unlike the flexible desktop PC environment, once a tablet has had it's OS configured, then that's pretty much it because the hardware is relatively static (like Apple's hardware).

I believe it to be achievable and I hope it's an avenue being seriously pursued by Microsoft.
