ענקית האינטרנט גוגל אישרה כי רשות הסחר הפדרלית בארצות הברית (FTC) פתחה בחקירה נגדה.

בגוגל לא ציינו מה הרקע לחקירה, אך על פי דיווחים שונים, מטרתה לבדוק אם גוגל ניצלה לרעה את כוחה בתחום החיפוש כדי לקדם את שירותיה ולדחוק את המתחרים. חקירה דומה מתנהלת נגד גוגל באירופה.
