how can I omit the the windows logo, so I can reduce the boot delay?

does any-1 know other ways of making the boot process faster?

Thx, but I have windows 98 SE. BootVis is compatible only for WinXP

than i have no idea... defragging your hard drive may improve the boot time a little bit

some defragment programs even allow you to "put" boot files at the beggining of the hard drive

i use O&O Defrag Server Edition but im not sure if it can work on win9x

Thank you Ariel! I'll try it. But once again, I know [glow=red, 2, 300]there is a way to cancel the Windows logo [/glow] when the computer boots. That "saves" you about 15 seconds - and that''s what I'm lookin' for...

try to edit the io.sys file , you should have there some option like logo=1 or =0 , put it to 0 & see check it out . should work , i think .

here's how:

You open the Msdos.sys (make sure it's not read only) with the notepad. Then, under where it says [options]

you have to write:

Logo=0

[shadow=blue, 2, 300]That's it![/shadow]
