    למרות שספציפיקציות של PC וMAC זהות, הן לא תמיד מצביעות על חומרה זהה.

    דיסק קשיח,זיכרון ומעבד בדרך כלל זהים. לוח האם קטן מאוד (פיזית!!!) ומכיל רכיבי CHIPSET שונים שגורמים לOSX (מערכת ההפעלה של MAC המודלים האחרונים) לרוץ יותר טוב מאשר בפלטפורמה זהה של PC .
