Problam connecting cd-rom

I wanted to change my cd-rom cause mine wasn't working proparly so I took my sisters' and pluged it in but the windows won't recognize it... what's the problam :s05:

    I plugged everything in just like it was in the old one...

    The cd-rom is getting power and opens, I put a cd in and nothing happens...

    I don't even see an icon in "my computer"... I have no idea what happened.

    א) תבדוק שהוא מגומפר נכון מאחורה (SLAVE/MASTER).

    ב) תבדוק ב CONTROL PANEL ב DEVICE MANAGER האם הוא מופיע עם סימן קריאה צהוב.

    It is configured as master but it won't even appear in the device manager... :s05:

    so check that way you can see if it's a hardware or software issue
