עכשיו שהוספתי 256mb corsair בנוסף ל512mb kingston שהיו לי לפני זה רשום לי שהמחשב עובד ב single channel ולא בdual רציתי לדעת אם זה הועיל לי במשהו התוספת הזאת ואם המחשב משתמש בזיכרון שבסלוט ה 3 או שסתם [כי יש לי בעייה לעבוד עם ג'יגה זיכרון בדואלי המחשב נתקע נותן הודעת ERROR בכחול או עושה ריסטרט לאחר זמן מה][מעבד:PENTIUM 4 2.8 512KB NORTHWOOD]

[ltr]you get dual channel with a 512 stick and a 256 stick? if so, you have a dual channel performance over the first 512mb and single channel over the last 256mb, I've heard it's possible never seen it been done though. if you have a problem running 1gb of ram in dual channel you should loosen the timings or put it in single channel, it could also mean you board memory controller is defective[/ltr]

Well ,sorry but you didnt understand me mate. i dont have 1 stick of 512mb and 1 of 256mb. i have 3 sticks of 256mb and thats the problem [2 in channel 1 and 1 in channel 2] is that stick in channel 2 effective, does it useful or it stuck there for nada? thats what i wanted to know and ty. and by the way the problem that i cant use 1 giga of memory is not connected to my bios because i tried all the settings in the bios and update it and reset it few times and installed new windows again and changed psu from generic company to hec 475w with 2 fans and it still didnt help i just can work with 768mb of memory i dont understand y. otherwise i have an error in the middle of working and suddenly pc is crashin and restart [thats what happen with 4 sticks of 256mb memory]
