    סוקט הינו שקע, החלק על הלוח אם שאליו נכנסים הפינים שעל המעבד (או במקרה של LGA775 - הפינים על הלוח, נכנסים לתוך המעבד)

    ההבדל בין 939 ו 754 הוא בעיקר התמיכה בDUAL CHANNEL, ובשקע היותר חדש המעבדים והליבות יותר טובים (כמובן..)
