    I had a 4TB Deskstar HDD that was starting to get some random seeks and head parks, which translated to lots of clicking noises and reduced performance. In searching for a replacement, I found that a reasonable performance and price direct replacement would be about as much as an SSD. Since SSDs have no mechanical parts to them, I was able to easily justify the purchase.

    I do a bit of gaming, specifically flight simulator games, and they're quite heavy on the disk reads while they're being used. I had consulted a few reviews of this SSD and asked some of my friends who are strong with computer hardware, and everything resulted in my selection of this.

    Pros: Reasonable cost, Standard install for this style device, faster than an HDD, perfectly quiet
    Cons: The imaging software that was recommended with it is a bit clunky and confusing

    Overall recommendation: Buy it! You'll be glad you did!

    I use this SSD as my main ssd for storing my Windows 11 OS system on it. After installing and transferring my files over, I noticed my PC boots up MUCH quicker. From 25 seconds to just 5-7 seconds. I also noticed a much higher frame rate and loading times for ALL of my games. I’ve used this same SSD in several pc of mine over the years and it is still by far the most affordable and reliable storage system I’ve used. Since it’s an m.2, it is compatible with nearly every modern computer system out there including laptops and even gaming consoles such as the PS5.

    Context: I use this SSD as an external drive for my 4k video projects. I store and edit the videos directly on the drive.

    Pros:
    - Cheaper than other comparable SSDs for my use case (i.e. using it with 4.0 SSD enclosure as an external drove)
    - Works with latest version of MacOS
    - Speed is as advertised for my use case

    Cons: none yet

    Tip:
    If you're using this for MacOS, make sure you correctly format the drive. I'm running MacOS 14.4.1, so I had to format the drive as AFPS in order for my Mac to read and utilize the full potential of the SSD. For other use cases, just google the correct format for your operating system.

I don't have a real comparison as this was in a new PC build but know that going forward any new pc build I will use this same product as it has been solid.

    This drive works great and is amazing for the price but be warned that you can't do a fresh install of Windows 10 on it without initializing the drive first. I bought this for a Dell Latitude 7490 as an upgrade and I tried to install Windows 10 from USB and the computer would just keep boot looping never getting past the Dell logo. This was never an issue with other drives like Samsung so I found it odd and in my research I found out this is a common issue with this drive on Dell computers. So I had to put the drive into an enclosure and plug it into another computer to format it and initialize it before it worked. From there a fresh install of Windows 10 could be done. Maybe it's Crucial's specific firmware but I've never had this happen with other brands of drives. Would be a 5 star rating otherwise since it works great and is crazy fast.

    The device installed relatively easily even though it was my first experience with dealing with NVME. Crucial's Free Acronis disk cloning software worked very well. It was simple and intuitive. The only issue I had with it was that for the first 40 minutes of the cloning process, it was consistently showing the cloning process would be done at 2:40 pm. I left, went to a restaurant, returned at 1:30 pm, and the cloning process was done. So it does not always accurately predict how long it will take to complete a clone. It was nice that even though I told it to clone the old disk image exactly onto the new larger Crucial device, the Acronis software knew enough to change the disk partition to the larger space available on the new device. Some cloning processes do not do this. They clone the old to the new exactly, including the partition size of the user space. Thus you end up with no more usable space on the new larger drive. The Acronis software changed the new partition space to 500 GB rather than matching the old 250 GB partition space on my old drive. Nice touch.
    There was an older Western Digital NVME in the PC. I replaced it with this Crucial device.

    I would recommend this to anyone trying to have something that is better than a SATA SSD or a hard drive, but if you are trying to have super fast boot times, this struggles as its random read speeds are slower than the average of an nvme SSD, and it is slower in its write speeds as well. Besides that, I haven't had any issues, and it works great for me as an extra drive to store games that I want to play infrequently or for media storage.

    Me dan velocidades mas bajas y eso que si excedo con las especificaciones necesarias, supongo que instalando la aplicación que recomienda Crucial según vi en un comentario que mejora las velocidades. Aún así estoy satisfecho porque se siente muy ágil mi pc y solo lo tengo para el sistema operativo y los programas. Instalaré el famoso programita de Crucial y daré retroalimentación.

    Comprei o NVME para colocar os jogos mais pesados que tenho e estão abrindo super rápidos, como também a gameplay melhorou bastante neles, principalmente no Cyberpunk 2077. Fácil de instalar, assim como qualquer outro NVME.
    Quanto ao reconhecimento, tive que instalar o driver fornecido pela Crucial para o Windows enxergar corretamente, acredito que se dá pelo fato dele ser Gen 4 e minha placa-mãe ainda ser Gen 3.
    Após isso, foi só entrar no gerenciamento de disco do windows e alocar o espaço, que vem não alocado como padrão.

    A entrega foi feita certinha, sem problemas. Produto bem embalado também.
